During each of my visits here in Iceland, I try to take the time to enjoy the sunset and the sunrise. This time of the year, it doesn’t really get dark. Around 10pm, I hiked to the top of the hill in the town of Keflavik. The hillside is bursting with Lupin flowers. I sat on a rock, overlooking the ocean and watched the sunset around 11pm followed by the sunrise at 3:30am. I then hiked back down the hill and went to bed. What a beautiful way to start the day!
“There’s a sunrise and sunset every day. You can choose to be there for it. You can put yourself in the way of beauty.” – Cheryl Strayed
